Discover the Heart of Colombia with Our Regional Coffees
At El Placer Farms, our Regional coffees are more than just a product; they are a testament to our commitment to quality, community, and sustainability. Spearheaded by Sebastian Ramirez, our Regional coffee project stands as a pillar of community mentorship and exemplary agricultural practices, setting a new standard for coffee production in Quindio and Huila.

By investing in our community, we ensure that every bean sold under the Regional label not only supports local farmers but also elevates their livelihoods. We purchase these coffees at a premium, process them with meticulous care, and bring to market a product that is truly exceptional.

A Community-Centered Approach
Our journey begins in the lush landscapes of Colombia, where our neighboring coffee farmers cultivate rich, aromatic beans under the guidance of our expert team. Through Sebastian’s vision, we have established a mentorship program that educates local producers in best agricultural practices. This program includes full access to our state-of-the-art processing plant in Corcega, Quindio, where farmers can also cup their coffees and receive tailored feedback to enhance the quality of their crops.

State-of-the-Art Processing
Our processing plant is at the forefront of technology, equipped to control temperature and humidity meticulously, ensuring that our coffee meets the highest standards. Here, every batch of Regional coffee is transformed under optimal conditions, highlighting the unique characteristics of each bean.

Transparency and Traceability
In partnership with visionary farmers like Wilder Lazo, we champion a transparent model where traceability and quality are paramount. This approach guarantees that every cup of coffee offers not just exceptional taste but also a clear backstory of its origin and the people behind it.

What to Expect from Our Coffees
Our Regional coffees score between 85 to 86 on the SCA system, promising a clean, sweet taste perfect for both espresso and filter coffee methods. We focus on cultivating varieties like Caturra and Pink Bourbon, processed using traditional washed methods to achieve a coffee that is balanced in acidity, round-bodied, and resoundingly sweet.

At El Placer, we cultivate not just coffee, but stories. Each batch of our micro lot coffee represents a unique narrative of meticulous care, passion, and commitment to quality and sustainability. Our micro lots are more than just coffee; they are a journey through flavors and aromas echoing our beloved farm’s rich, volcanic soils.

What Are Micro Lots? Micro lots are small, exclusive batches of coffee that are processed individually to ensure unmatched quality. At El Placer, these lots come directly from single farms, allowing for a clear traceability that appeals to connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike. Each micro lot is a testament to precision and individuality, representing small amounts of coffee scored over 88 points on the SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) scale.

Why Choose El Placer’s Micro Lots? Exclusivity and Quality: Each micro lot is a limited edition offering. Because of their small scale, these lots receive special attention during harvesting and processing.

This attention to detail ensures that each cup you pour is not just good but exceptional.

Eco-Friendly Practices: Our commitment to sustainability is deep-rooted. We focus on semi-washed and natural processing methods that significantly reduce water usage. This dedication not only preserves the natural resources but also enhances the subtle, natural flavors of the coffee. A Story in Every Sip: When you choose El Placer’s micro lots, you’re not just buying coffee; you’re participating in a story of sustainable agriculture and exquisite craftsmanship. Each sip offers hints of the journey from our eco-conscious farm to your cup—reflecting the essence of rare, untouched lands where our beans grow
