Partnering with Wilder Lazo: A New Era for El Placer Farms

At El Placer Farms, we are thrilled to announce our partnership with Wilder Lazo, a dedicated and passionate coffee producer based in San Adolfo, Huila. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in our journey to bring you the highest quality specialty coffee, rooted in sustainable and innovative farming practices.

Introducing Wilder Lazo

Wilder Lazo and his family are a testament to resilience and passion in the coffee industry. Located in the picturesque region of San Adolfo, Huila, Wilder’s farms span an altitude range of 1,470 to 2,100 meters above sea level. This unique elevation provides the perfect conditions for cultivating a diverse array of exotic coffee varieties, including SL-18, Panama Gesha, Sidra Bourbon, and Caturra Chiroso. Each variety is renowned for its exceptional flavors and aromas, qualities that any Q grader can recognize.

The Lazo family has faced numerous challenges over the years, including a devastating fire that forced them to leave their farm temporarily. However, driven by their father’s unwavering determination, they returned to rebuild their crops and their lives. Today, the entire family is deeply involved in the business. Wilder’s wife manages the accounting, their children specialize in different aspects of coffee production, and together they have transformed their farm into a platform for specialty coffee.

Their dedication to quality and sustainability has not only provided a way of living but also ensured a better future for their children. The Lazo family’s hard work and commitment have made their coffee stand out among the most discerning palates, turning their farm into a beacon of excellence in the coffee world.
